The rules for running and entering campaigns on Buzz. We’ve kept them as plain as we can.

The short version

  • Entering a campaign is always free. Paid entry is never allowed.
  • Organizers run their campaigns, supply the prizes and make sure their promotion is legal where it runs.
  • Draw results and delivery proof are permanent, so anyone can trust them.
  • Passes are one-time payments in US dollars. There are no subscriptions.
  • Cheating, fake campaigns and asking winners for fees get accounts closed.

1Who we are and this agreement

Buzz is operated by Victhereum Technologies Ltd, No 8 Flourish Close, Rumuogunuma, Eneka, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria (“Buzz”, “we”, “us”). These Terms are an agreement between you and us. They apply when you create a Buzz account to run campaigns (an “organizer”) and when you enter a campaign hosted on Buzz (an “entrant”).

By using Buzz, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Buzz for a business or other organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to.

2What Buzz does, and what it doesn’t

Buzz is software for running giveaways, contests and referral campaigns. Organizers build a campaign page, entrants take part, and Buzz records entries, runs draws, collects winners’ claim details and hosts proof that prizes were delivered.

Each campaign is run by its organizer, who is named on the campaign page as the sponsor. The organizer sets the rules, chooses and supplies the prizes, and delivers them. Buzz is not the sponsor of any campaign, doesn’t hold or ship prizes, and isn’t a party to the promise between an organizer and its entrants.

3Organizer accounts

You need to be at least 18 to create an organizer account. You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

Give accurate details, including the sponsor identity and contact email you publish on campaigns. You’re responsible for everything done in your workspace, including by people you invite.

4Your responsibilities as an organizer

When you publish a campaign on Buzz, you agree that:

  • Entry is free. No purchase or payment is ever needed to enter or win, and buying doesn’t improve anyone’s chances.
  • Your campaign is lawful where it runs. You are responsible for checking and following the laws on prize promotions, gaming, consumer protection and advertising in every country you open it to, including any registration, approval, licence or tax that applies. Buzz doesn’t review campaigns for this and doesn’t give legal advice.
  • Your rules are accurate and you follow them. The official rules, prizes, values, dates and eligibility you publish are true, and you pick and treat winners exactly as they say.
  • You deliver every prize you promise, in the way you described, within a reasonable time, at no cost to the winner.
  • You follow each social platform’s rules. Buzz doesn’t verify social actions such as follows or likes unless a campaign says it does, and you won’t claim otherwise.
  • You use entrant data properly. You use winners’ details only to deliver their prizes. You contact entrants for marketing only if they opted in. You handle any entrant data you export lawfully and securely.
  • Proof you post is honest. Delivery photos and captions show real deliveries, contain no private details, and show people only with their agreement.

5What’s not allowed

You may not use Buzz to:

  • Run a lottery or anything that charges people, directly or indirectly, to enter or win.
  • Run a fake campaign, collect entrant data under false pretences, or offer a prize you don’t intend to deliver.
  • Fix or influence results, favour particular entrants, or redraw a winner without the reason the rules allow.
  • Offer prizes that are illegal, dangerous, age-restricted for your audience, or that you have no right to give.
  • Reward fake engagement, or ask entrants to break a social platform’s rules.
  • Use bots, scripts or multiple identities to enter, or scrape, overload, probe or attack the service.
  • Ask winners to pay a fee, share a password or PIN, or hand over more personal data than delivery needs.
  • Harass, mislead or discriminate against anyone.

6Entering a campaign

Entering is free. Each campaign has official rules set by its organizer, and by entering you agree to them. Rules acceptance and marketing consent are separate: you never have to join a mailing list to enter.

Enter once, as yourself. Duplicate, automated or fraudulent entries are void. Buzz and the organizer may review entries that look unusual. A review can hold an entry while a person checks it. You’ll be told, and you can appeal. Sharing an internet connection with other entrants is never on its own a reason to remove an entry.

If you win, claim your prize through the private link we email you, before the deadline shown. You’ll be asked only for what that prize’s delivery needs. The organizer, not Buzz, provides and delivers the prize. If something goes wrong with a prize, contact the organizer first, using the details on the campaign page, and tell us if you can’t resolve it.

7Draws and records

For random draws, Buzz freezes the list of eligible entries and picks winners with a recorded random process that can be checked afterwards. The organizer reviews and confirms each winner before they’re contacted. Judged campaigns are decided by the organizer against the criteria in their rules.

Entry records, draw results and published delivery proof are kept permanently and can’t be edited or deleted, so results can always be audited. Mistakes are corrected with a new, visible record rather than by changing the old one.

8Passes, credits and payments

Drafts are free. To publish, an organizer buys a pass for the campaign: a Day Pass ($1, up to 24 hours and 500 entrants), a Week Pass ($6, up to 7 days) or a Month Pass ($25, up to 30 days). Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Buzz has no subscriptions and never charges automatically.

  • Entry cap. When a Day Pass campaign reaches 500 entrants, new entries pause until you upgrade or add another pass. Entrants already in keep their entries.
  • Credits. Wallet credits are bought from $5. One credit is worth $1 and can only be spent on passes. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred.
  • Paying. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Bachs, which may charge in your local currency at its exchange rate. Some payment methods have minimum amounts. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
  • Problems. If you were charged in error or a pass didn’t work as described, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll look into it. Refunds are decided case by case, and nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.

We may change prices for the future. A change never affects a pass or credits you’ve already bought.

9Your content and ours

You keep ownership of what you upload: campaign text, images, rules and delivery photos. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, scan, resize and display it to run and promote the campaigns you publish, for as long as they’re on Buzz and as long as records must be kept. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload.

Buzz, its logo, design and software belong to us. You may link to Buzz and share campaign and proof pages, but not copy or resell the service.

10Suspension and closing accounts

We may pause a campaign or suspend an account that breaks these Terms, puts entrants at risk, or that we must act on by law. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. A suspension doesn’t remove an organizer’s duty to deliver prizes already won.

You can stop using Buzz at any time. Ask us to close your account at [email protected]. Records that must stay for auditing, such as draws and payments, are kept as our Privacy Policy describes.

11Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Buzz secure and available, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We don’t guarantee the conduct of any organizer or entrant, the lawfulness of any campaign, or the delivery, quality or value of any prize.

12Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for losses caused by organizers, entrants or prizes. Our total liability to you for any claim about Buzz is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if that is more.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Organizers agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims by entrants, winners, platforms or authorities about their campaigns, prizes or use of entrant data.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Buzz changes. We’ll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell organizers by email or in the app before they take effect. Campaigns already published keep the official rules they were published with.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, and its courts deal with any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there. Before going to court, please contact us and give us a chance to put things right.
